Monochrome and bold yet delicately hand drawn this illustration takes its inspiration from Art Nouveau style and depicts the ethereal beauty of New Zealand’s Puriri Moth.
Native only to the North Island of New Zealand and being the largest winged insect, this is a female Puriri Moth recognised by the squiggly markings on her wings.
The original was hand drawn and created by a combination of ink pen techniques such as lines and Stippling (dots).
